| Description |
| Laguna II Diesel Sports Tourer. The engines were upgraded over the first series and the equipment list made longer. Widely regarded as one of the safest vehicles on the road today, it was the first vehicle available in Europe to achieve 5 stars in the EuroNCAP crash test results. This Laguna features a `keyless` ignition system which, instead of a key, uses a credit card style device to unlock the car and start the engine. The styling of this second generation Laguna was heavily influenced by the Initiale concept car. The Laguna estate was badged Sport Tourer or Grandtour depending on the country, and is marketed as a lifestyle vehicle rather than a load carrier. This car represents great value for money, balancing economy and French vehicle styling with practicality. The 4 cylinder 8 valve diesel delivers 120bhp, a top speed of 124 mph and 0-60 in around 10 seconds. The car looks great in metallic grey and contrasting exterior trim, with a subtle light grey comfortable cloth trim enhancing the spacious interior and load capacity. Just 4.6m in length, 1.77m wide its ideal for crossing into Europe and catching some family time. Fuel tank capacity is 70L (15.4 imp gal) allowing you to get to both ends of the country on a single tank of fuel. Plastic front wings deform and shrug off minor impacts. Much better to drive than the old Laguna. | |
