The Porsche 928 was Porsche`s first production car which was designed completely from scratch. It was launched at the Geneva Motor Show 1977 to an eager public. So impressive was the Porsche 928 that it was, and still is, the only sports car to have ever been voted European Car of the Year. The car was designed to devour long distances with consummate ease, indeed, in the Eighties, when Porsche gave its Works Le Mans drivers a choice of company car, they all chose a 928. This is beautiful example of GTS model which was the last of the line 928`s. Powered by the largest engine, 5.4 litre V8, the GTS produces 350 bhp. This example has the rarer 5 speed manual gearbox. The 928 was packed with electrically operated power saving devices, as befits a sophisticated Grand Tourer and the GTS is certainly no exception. This car is so much more refined to drive than a 911. Beautifully finished in Grand Prix White with classic Full Black Leather Interior, this car is a true style icon. It still draws crowds today with its head turning styling which belies the fact that the design is 30 years old, and it is so easy to drive, not at all intimidating. The performance and dynamics put many a modern so-called sports car to shame and 2 + 2 styling makes it an extremely practical choice too.
